This website is maintained by David Cox a freelance Dynamics NAV and WordPress Contractor, as well as Adeptris I am the owner and author of the Digital Raindrops WordPress website, where the tutorials are to help other developers understand some of the  functions that already exist in WordPress, and how to use them, many times I have looked at the code examples written by other Developers, where the code is limited in the usage and design and does not give enough information on how to use the examples.
My primary focus is on Dynamics NAV, having developed the Dynamics NAV product for many years now, I have focused on the core functions and used the code to create many new modules that fit into the Dynamics NAV workflow, having built many new modules which then use the standard Dynamics NAV functions to post to the ledgers this has maintained the look and feel of the product, giving the user the comfort of not knowing where the standard and new modules interact, so for them it is all one product.
SKILL STRENGTHS
I have been working in the reseller channel on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Attain and Navision for over 17 years as a senior analyst developer on all versions of the product, my skill set and depth of knowledge is extremely strong in functional analysis, solution architecture and writing of complicated code routines, creating friendly user interfaces and solid code for financial data posting right to the ledger level.
My roles have encompassed retail, distribution, project and resource management, programming, analysis, development & support, adapting Dynamics NAV to the customer’s specific requirements using the Dynamics NAV language (C/Side).
I have developed complete end to end modules for Time, Property & Service management that have been integrated fully and seamlessly with the other core modules, including the Customer, Vendor, Item and General Ledgers, having also worked with the K3 Retail Back Office, loyalty and Analysis.
This has meant the development of complete modules, new tables, forms, reports, dataports & functional code, also interfaces to external systems including SAP, NeuSience, Team, EDI, BACS etc:
My core skills are in the rapid development and depth of knowledge of Dynamics NAV producing functional consistent interfaces; I also have abilities to take a project through its full cycle, to trouble shoot a small piece of code, discuss functionality and train an end user or pass on knowledge to another developer.
I worked for K3 the largest UK reseller for a three year period, as a senior analyst / developer; while there I worked on several large projects in the UK, and in the Middle East, including helping to develop the loyalty system and retail analysis models.
My last three contracts were both extended well beyond the initial contract periods turning eight months of contracts into over five years.
